Yesterday I have activated their 24h Mobile Internet service. I received the settings automatically. Until now I haven’t been able to access ANY website, even Vodafone live! with their shitty internet service.

I tried a lot of settings, combinations of IPs and ports and none of them worked. I am 100% sure that Vodafone live! is activated. (Because I can read it on *147# and in MyVodafone)

Now what: I paid Euro 0.70 for 24h internet access, because I was a fool and didn’t bought a Prepaid Orange number, where I could simply pay Euro 3.50 for a full month with unlimited access. (and their service really WORKS!)

I think from now on I’m gonna stick with Orange, they respect their clients, unlike Vodafone RO, whose main purpose is to gain money from offering … nothing.

Yes, the Romanian Government invested 2.5 million Euros in a website which now doesn’t have more than 70 unique visitors per day. The website address is www.business-entrepreneur.ro.

The Romanian Government contracted 4 foreign companies to create this website. Because of the poor results, now another 1 million € will be invested in revitalizing and rebranding.

Although IT specialists stated that the invesment is absolutely ridiculous compared to the results, nobody checked this project and the way the funds have been spent.

PHARE funds thrown through the window: 46 experts contributed at this project, 15 internationals and 31 romanians. In order to host about 70 visitors per day, another 550.000 Euros have been spent only on the hardware: 15 servers, an Oracle platform, 5 laptops, 5 monitors, one projector and 2 printers (I guess laser printers ).

Well, if we link to this 2.5 mil Euro website, maybe it will reach 100 visitors soon.
